The GREGOR research team of the AIE of PARIS

GREGOR is the research laboratory of the IAE of Paris (EA2474) and the research team for the research masters degree in Applied Organisation. Created in 1992, it currently comprises 93 members, including nine professors, two senior lecturers qualified to direct research (HDR) (11 directors of research in total), seven senior lecturers not yet qualified to direct research, five PhDs, one teacher qualified for Higher Education (PRAG), five part-time teacher/professionals (PAST) and 53 doctoral students.

GREGOR brings together in the research team all the teacher/researchers and researchers who wish to embark on research activity, as well as a certain number of invited or associate members from other institutions and/or other research teams.

GREGOR - axes of research

Going beyond the traditional disciplinary divisions that correspond to the major areas of specialisation for preparation of the IAE Masters degree (Human Resources and Social Responsibility in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accountancy Control and Audit), a thematic division into “clusters” of research underlies the structure of GREGOR’s activities and productions. There are six distinct axes:
  • Restructuring
  • Governance
  • Management tools
  • Marketing
  • Risk and Organisation

The experience and skills acquired by GREGOR researchers are exploited within each of these axes and continually developed through new projects. (For further information…).

The PhD

The Research Masters degree and GREGOR are affiliated to the Graduate School (ED 559) "École Doctorale de Management Panthéon-Sorbonne"

GREGOR normally receives some 60 doctoral students. These are both working professionals who wish to prepare a dissertation, and students (grant-funded, temporary contracts, etc.) who have completed their first degrees. This reflects the composition of the Research Masters degree of the IAE of Paris (adult and initial training). Furthermore, within the framework of partnerships with universities abroad, a number of foreign students enroll each year to prepare a dissertation at the IAE of Paris.

Individual Research and Publications

Research is first and foremost an individual activity. Each member of GREGOR, from teacher/researcher to doctoral student, pursues his or her own research and prepares his or her own publications. This is borne out in the figures:
300+ publications in 10 years (monographs, contributions to collected volumes, peer-reviewed articles in journals, papers for scientific conferences);
64 dissertations successfully defended since 1995.

Further, GREGOR publishes its research papers, with the aim of publicising work by members of the team not yet published in an academic review. These papers appear on the GREGOR website. Between five and 10 research papers are published in this way each year.
